New Kilby Gallery
In the natural world, spring is the time when new growth and new lives enter the world for the first time. For myself, and the whole village of Clarksburg, it is also a time of new beginnings. After a half dozen years of operating my art gallery ‘The Kilby Gallery’, it became time to shake things up and move the shop. For those familiar with my comfy first location, we have just moved a few doors up the street, to a lovely new space with inviting windows, lots of spacious walls to hang art, and great neighbours throughout this lovely little village. With a number of new businesses opening their doors, it really is the perfect time to discover, or revisit us!
My personal philosophy for an art gallery is patterned after many of the finest galleries found throughout the world; that is, keep it clean, uncluttered, dedicated to showing the work in its best light, with pleasing music, plus the added bonus of our renowned gallery greeter, Brownie.
New art will always be regularly added to the mix, resulting in a constantly evolving display walls, which invites attendees to come back frequently to see what is new.
This space will also include a working studio, where people can witness new art being created before their eyes. Come and see for yourself.
