Feeling a bit out of season with this new painting, called 'Along the Bruce'. Spring has just barely settled in and here is a scene clearing showing two seasons ahead! In reality, this idea grew out of a fall hike not too far from home, along the famous 'Bruce Trail'. I have lived much of my life not far from this long, wandering treck, beginning in Niagara region and travelling all the way to Tobermory at the end of the Bruce penninsula, and consequently have happened upon its' famous white markers as long as I can remember. They typically adorn a tree situated trailside, but as in the case here, can be found on whatever does the job; as in this old slighty leaning fence post.
