Pulling up stacks and moving off to a new place, is not an undertaking to be taken lightly. When all the boxes have been packed, shifted and unpacked, addresses updated and all the other unforeseen challenged are accounted for, it better be worth it!
When I made the big move up to Grey County, there were plenty of good reasons to go through all the upheaval, the majority of which had to do with the geography, typography and amount of natural habitat up here to explore, enjoy and be inspired by. One of the key access tools to do that, would be the famous Bruce Trail that snakes here and there throughout this area. I must confess that I have lived much of my life within a few miles of the Bruce trail, so it is not exactly new to me. Instead I welcome its iconic white markers like I would an old friend. It is with this sense of affection and gratitude that I am most happy to announce that a painting of mine has been selected to be included in the Bruce Trail Associations annual calendar of art inspired by, and depicting the Bruce Trail. The painting chosen is the piece entitled 'Tuesday Morning 5:38 a.m.' Part of the true pleasure of the Bruce and other extended trials of the same ilk, is that it follows country roads and well as woodland paths, and the scenery along its way is varied and quietly beautiful, regardless of the season, or type of day encountered. Look for me and my sidekick Brownie the black dog, when out on a Bruce Trail hike up this way. Odds are better than fair that we are out there somewhere along the way!
